SSC BIG TRIP WINTER 2012:
Zermatt, Switzerland 2012

January 27 - February 4, 2012
Zermatt  A high altitude premier ski Mecca for all levels of skier ability rests at the foot of the famous Matterhorn! Skiing in Zermatt is known for its bright southern exposure and high snow levels, which results in the longest ski season in the Alps, and its quintessential Swiss charm.

Zermatt is an incredible winter destination where one can ski Zermatt’s three main ski areas, the Rothorn paradise (3103m), the Gornergrat (3089m), or up on the glacier area around the Klein Matterhorn (3883m), then easily ski across the Italian border for some lunch ending with mellow runs in Cervinia and then back to Zermatt in time for fondue.

Zermatt’s snow covered slopes and trails, snow covered from November through April, ensure you will enjoy great skiing with long, long beautiful runs back to Zermatt at the end of each day. Enjoy Zermatt’s longest ski run where you begin at the summit of the Klein Matterhorn, elevation 3883 meters, then finishing 14 kilometers later near the village of Zermatt, all with a vertical drop of 2,200 meters!

If you're looking for off-piste skiing you'll find lots of it in Zermatt as well. There are plenty of large and rarely skied areas with blankets of white powder gold awaiting your challenge.

Zermatt is also renowned for its all inclusiveness and fine climate. Gasoline-powered vehicles are not allowed in the village. Buzzing nightlife, over a hundred restaurants, nightly entertainment, shopping and of course, nonstop skiing. You’ll even be able take a day trip enjoying what is undoubtedly Switzerland's most scenic train journey, the Glacier Express.
Zermatt, Switzerland, has it all.
